Are you measuring the import of that announcement by its direct effect on you (e.g. you won't be able to port your own games to the 'Pad, or won't be able to look forward to your fave Flash titles), or is "huge" just a gauge of the reverberations that are gathering in the canyons of ars and slashdot?
