MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2009) MacBookPros 14 B75C32FA-8F01-4795-86A1-882BD1E92441

are: Original Mac OS: Mac OS X 10.5.7 (9J3050)

and: Later Mac OS: Mac OS X 10.6 (10A432)

Is there a way to find serial numbers for these so I know what the original system they shipped with was? Maybe I have to buy a used machine. Why would they put a hardware Appletalk processor in and not include the software driver? Obviously, the ones that ship with 10.6 don't do Appletalk, right?
