Is this what Activity Monitor shows when the fans are spinning at full speed? I don't see anything running here that your daughter might be using to take notes. You left out the most critical piece of information as well which is the percentage of the CPU being used by each app.
Don't worry about the formatting, it aint easy to do, if you can do it at all. In this case the main things we need to see is the task name and percentage of CPU it is using. The total percentage of CPU utilization for the User, System, and Total would also be informative.
