Inability to play Flash videos on CNN.com prompted me to do some research on my computer. The problem was solved by updating and enabling VLC web plugin that can play Flash. Looks like neither Perian, nor QT or Flip4Mac could play Flash videos on CNN using iCab. Other browsers were able to do so.
However, I found that on a fairly fresh MBP (see below; it came with 10.5.6 preinstalled), the Library/Internet plugins had older files related to QT 7.6.3. No plugin for QT player X was found. Google search for QT player X plugin did not produce anything. Any ideas on what's going on? Was that plugin ever updated or Apple just forgot about it?
