I created a new avatar but it had thin horizontal and vertical lines through it, which I assume was from cutting a square picture out of a rectangular one. The process I use is to cut an approximate square and then scale using Graphic Converter, setting one dimension at 100 pixels.

Is there a range within which we need to stay? For example, 100 pixels by 90 pixels is okay but greater than 10 pixels difference causes lines?

Thanks
