It is a usb port on the end of the cable and the other end fit into the usb-c port on the speaker. So it ends up I didn't need those adapters anyway. But for the future I wouldn't be surprised. I'm not upset that I purchased them.
By "USB port," it sounds like you mean a male USB A connector.
