Click on the plus sign (+) in Fantastical and type or dictate "Appointment massage every second Thursday at two PM" or similar. This is very useful but the main feature is an improved look and feel.

Fantastical will run on all devices, but because it is simply an alternate user Interface you could be running Calendar on one device and Fantastical on another. It also offers 18 or so "WIdgets" for macOS and a like number for iOS plus even more for iPadOS.
