Your slow loading issue can be somewhat alleviated by swapping the painfully slow 5400 RPM HD you have currently installed for a
Solid State Drive. Add to that a
memory upgrade to 8 or even 16 GB and you might well believe that your MacBook was on steroids. The Apple Store will not do the upgrades but
Other World Computing will. This would be a small fraction of the cost of a new machine and could add years to your MacBook's useful lifespan.
