I gave it a try and that works and is an easy option, but doesn't provide the numerical reference 5th, 6th, et cetera. However, for stuff that is simply repeated at regular intervals it's great. For example, I have one of those battery boosters that just hooks up to a car battery rather than the unwieldy linking of two cars via booster cables. The booster requires checking the charge very three months, which needs reminders.....and that just got a lot easier than copy and paste.

For anniversaries you could include in the original description the year of the marriage/event. Then when it shows up annually, with a little math, you will know the numerical reference.
