From what you have written renewing your subscription might be akin to wearing suspenders and a belt. I prefer to think of it more like wearing a helmet while riding a bike—I'm a careful rider, I pay attention, I am not going to fall but I may not see that uneven pavement as dangerous when it is or, heaven forbid, that idiot driver whom I couldn't believe would roll through the stop sign (it's only a cyclist, not a car). For the comparatively minimal cost, the subscription adds another level of peace of mind. Just sayin'.
