Hah! Ronald Reagan suffered from Alzheimers for an unknown portion of his Presidency.

When he answered "I don't remember" to all those questions during the Iran-Contra hearings, he apparently wasn't sandbagging; he really just plain didn't remember.

But at least he didn't suffer from underlying psychoses that exacerbated his behavior.

In Trump's case, I think his wife and kids ought to go to court and get him involuntarily committed.

What are the chances of that happening?

With luck, he'll fade quickly and disappear from public view, which would be a most ideal turn of events other than that it would leave him incapable of understanding the charegs against him, which is a tradeoff I'd happily accept.

His kids (and ex-Federal Judge sister, perhaps) will still be around to face the music to the extent of their involvement.
