I'm finding this whole issue of pardons a bit confusing. I believe it was joemike who pointed out that a pardon is for a crime that has been committed (e.g. Nixon wasn't 'pardoned' because he resigned before being convicted of a crime). So, if Trump and his family are to have pardons, must they first confess to some crimes? Surely a pardon can't be granted for some unknown crime you may be charged with in the future. I assume the courts require some level of specificity.
