Joe, I tried photos and it opened the photos app and at the bottom was a rectangle and a triangle within which had an exclamation mark. Upon clicking that icon, for a split second the image appeared but that was as far as it went.

In desperation I tried a couple of apps but they were greyed and I even gave iTunes a whirl which for some unknown reason, allowed it to used as "open with" but of course to no avail.

Hopefully someone will come up with a solution. Thanks Joe,
