My wife and I have separate accounts on our computer. However, in my account, I am experiencing a slowness while my wife's account is operating normally.
When I log-in, the first application selected will take a very long time to load. For example, Safari or Apple Mail will take nearly 1.5 minutes before they are functional. Excel will take nearly 3 minutes. In my wife's account, these load and function instantly.
When I log-out, my account will take nearly 45 seconds to get to the log-in window, but my wife's account gets there immediately.
So far, once the first application to be loaded has gone through the excruciating wait, others seem to load normally.
Thoughts? - other than "Use your wife's account"
