I trashed EasyFind more than two years ago because it had become slower than molasses, and I switched to
Find Any File ($6 shareware), which I much prefer, so I've got no idea what settings I used.
If you post a screenshot of EasyFind's window, though, I should be able to recreate them.
As for searching FTM, you've now got to first click on the magnifying glass and then on "Advanced Forum Search" to access the full search screen.
