I have obtained good responses by writing an old-fashioned letter directly to the CEO of whatever company I need to express sentiments (good or bad). In a recent issue, I had to complain about something (too long to give details) so I wrote to the CEO (certified mail) with a carbon copy to the VP and the manager of the local office that I was complaining about. Two days later, that manager phoned me with a very friendly, contrite resolution of the problem.

For those of us old enough to remember Chuck Colson (Nixon administration), he said that if you get them by the balls, their hearts and minds will follow.
