Sounds to me as if attachments cannot be moved from yahoo mail to your computer via "drag and drop." When you attempted to drag the bundle sent by artie, you were really simply dragging the image representing the attachment. [I just sent an email with an attachment to my yahoo account to confirm this, and that's just how it behaved.]
