An unexpected popup appeared the other day that a system extension had been loaded that will not be supported in a future version of MacOS. confused Curious to know more I started a search and found this Apple Support article. Then Etrecheck Pro 6.2.3 (6C010) turned up four legacy kernel extensions used in the latest releases of very actively supported apps from widely used and well respected developers. The word is support for those legacy kernel extensions "is not guaranteed beyond Catalina.

It is time to get busy identifying potential problem apps and communicating with their developers. MacOS 10.16 is likely to be released within the next six or seven months.

If we knew what it was we were doing, it wouldn't be called research, would it?
