You got me on that one. I have checked all the Macs I can conveniently get access to and I have yet to find a similar folder. 🤷‍♂️ All I can do is speculate that it is an artifact from some point in a previous version of iTunes or Music.

Sounds pertinent, but how it got into dongreen's library may be anybody's guess.

To add some positivity to what dongreen hopes to do, I'll mention that I've maintained my entire ~/iTunes folder on a separate partition, symbolically linked to my boot volume, for many years and with nary an issue.
