Yesterday I started up the MacBookPro from cold, as usual. (I always shut down when not in use.)

The screen appeared in shades of pink - not the standard grey sequence. The Apple Logo was in GREY on the left side and DARK PINK on the side with the bite out of it. Then it stayed this way while the loading bar made its way. When completed, the screen turned light grey - solid, no images, no home page, nothing. It stayed this way for several minutes and then the computer re-booted on its own.

This routine happened severals times in a row, so I did a forced shut down with the power button. Then re-started in Recovery Mode and ran FIRST AID in Utilities. The issue seems to have been fixed in that the usual start up sequence appeared in its true colours, etc. Users Log In Page appeared, as expected.

HOWEVER . . . is this an indication of a larger problem to come? Some kind of warning that the MacBookPro is about to implode?

Many thanks,
