I second joemikeb's comments; I do not experience the abnormal behavior seen by deniro. There is something else going on with his setup.
One thought: in Numbers, there is a column/row setting called "Fit". If this is selected, the columns or rows will change to fit into the original size. This could cause changes in more than one column or row.
On a Mac since 1984.
