The whole country lives in medieval times because of pounds, acres, inches and miles, and nobody wants to get modern. The politicians do not even say that it is costly but say that the country is not prepared for the transition. What a disrespect for the fellow citizens! We are the only country in the world that uses outdated unit system. At the same time, American science, as any other, formally prohibits using these archaic units; try to put any of these in a paper and it will get rejected immediately. Moreover,
