Do you mind my asking you?Not to mention (so to speak) the vast number of nouns ending in -ing that are only thought of and used as nouns not derived from verbs — eg, being, meaning, feeling, ...

By the bye, your example is not on point: You've actually added the suffix
-ize, turning the noun into a verb, prior to turning it into a gerund.
