It seems that religious folk are as susceptible to hypocrisy as the rest of us (gasp!). After all, what does religion have to do with morality?
Good observations. It is my perspective that if a politician of any persuasion agrees with and maintains your personal beliefs on GIGA—guns, immigration, gays, abortion—whatever they may be, you will forgive her/him any other transgressions.
A common retort by supporters of the current administration is "we are moving in the right direction". I take that to mean where GIGA is concerned, and nothing else really matters or makes a difference.
