Technically all that has to happen is for Chronos to contact Apple and make arrangements to re-provision the developer profile and certificates. But if Chronos is in dire straits, there may not be anyone left in the company that knows how to do that. On the other hand if the certificates were rescinded, which could happen for a number of reasons including inadequate customer support, Apple would have to be convinced the company was in a position to fulfill their obligations before they would allow re-provisioning. Apple has been doing a lot of housecleaning and getting rid of non-supported apps, maybe Chronos was a casualty of their own inaction?
