OK, I got it. Laying it on its back might have helped.
There was nothing methodical about what I did. I used my Swiss Army knife and kept jamming it in the slot while hitting my Mattias keyboard's eject key. Really handy that I can eject from the keyboard. I tried to follow what this guy did.
