Hmm, is it giving Apple too much credit that they could slow down millions of iPhones at the same time the new models are released?

More likely people buy new phones, Apple releases new ones about the same time every year so that now, 1-2 years later, those original purchases have batteries that are fading away.

Sure, Apple should have flashed a dialog box on the screen that says something along the lines of "Tap 'Yes' to slow down your phone, 'Cancel' for intermittent crashes or just buy a new battery or iPhone". smirk
