This is what I am looking at now. I know it may be overkill but I am thinking of the future and having to use less cable, also.
Nomad At 5' and $35 without shipping it's awfully long and pricey, and it wouldn't even give you the ethernet connectability you need at the moment.
I'd stick with individual cables, particularly since I use only 18" jobs.
Rats! I thought I had the answer to your problem, but I just went looking for my
ethernet to USB cable and realized that I tossed it when my Fios router added two new networks to my configuration and I decided that I no longer needed it.
For your immediate and possible future needs, something like this
USB 3.0 to RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet Network Adapter seems like it would be a good fit in your toolbox.
