Now when push comes to shove everybody, if you were able to buy the Mac of your choice refurbished with a full year's warranty from Apple plus the ability to buy Applecare if you want - or buy a new Mac of the same model open box with a six month warranty remaining (same year and model) and the ability to buy Applecare should you choose, which would you pick and why. I'd buy the refurbished machine from Apple. Why? Because I've bought many refurbished items from Apple over the years and have never had any problems.
