Let me add my 2 cents to your question as well......not only do you see positive input for the Apple refurbished machines from our most prolific members, but you also see positive input from the Moderators as well.
I've made MANY refurb purchases and had ZERO issues over the past MANY MANY years. If it was my choice in your circumstances, I too would go with an Apple refurbished Mac to fill this purchase.
