I don't know why David French is surprised by the amount of hate he is being bombarded with. People on the left side of the political spectrum have been talking about this for years.
I don't disagree at all, and neither did the black interviewer who said that the hateful actions "….were vile and reprehensible but….." and went on to make a similar point.

Maybe this is what it will take to make "mainstream" conservatives finally begin to understand what they have created.
I hope you're right and, while some prominent Republicans inexplicably still support Trump, other high-profile Republicans like Colin Powell are saying what needs to be said about Donald Trump.
