On second thought, I'm not sure if the incorrect password is the old one. First of all, the technique of hovering the mouse and pressing Command doesn't show it. Second, it's six dots, indicating six characters, and I would have made it at least 8 characters.
I don't think the number of dots is indicative.
I've run across any number of instances in which the number of dots I've seen has had nothing to do with the number of characters in my password; I imagine that it's a "diversionary" tactic to throw off potential bad guys.
