I also use Ghostery and AdBlock (free versions) and also haven't experienced any differences than previously with Safari 9.x
In Safari 10 it is no longer possible to disable individual extensions. You’ll either have to
uninstall individual extensions (checkbox on the extension’s pref panel), or
disable them all at once (option available under Safari’s
Develop menu). In addition to being not very 'user friendly' (in various meanings of that term), this also makes troubleshooting a lot more troublesome.
