There are a couple dozen countries which have instituted compulsory voting, but about half of them don't bother to enforce it.

As noted earlier, if forced to vote (by some sort of Orwellian overlords), I would prefer to subvert the system (by spoiling my ballot).

In case it isn't obvious, I count myself as a "conservative anarchist" and was mentored by the best in that regard.
