The short version:
Background:
• It had seemed I could get the Cocktail artifact to appear/disappear by mouting/unmounting LAN volumes.
• Of course, this makes no sense, but there it was.
Present Situation:
• Late yesterday afternoon, I replaced my principal volume with a SuperDuper! clone.
• Now, even with LAN volumes mounted, no artifact is present.
While I am pleased with the result, I am again (still) confused as the clone I used was just a few hours old, e.g., why would an “exact†clone make the problem disappear?
Does that make sense to anyone?
