Luckily I haven't ordered yet, because I just remembered that the drive comes with a "Y" USB cable in case one port doesn't deliver sufficient power, and while I
have got two USB ports, they're on opposite sides of my deuced Mac(hina), and although a "Y" cable can be made to connect, it's not something I want to do.
Does your wife's drive require the "Y"?

Edit: The drive I'm looking at is USB 2, same as your wife's drive.
