Meaning, there are no more technological advances that the company that created the laserprinter to begin with can develop to make a printer that is a better and offers more features when used with a Mac than those companies that simply are compatible with it? Their computers and devices still sell at twice or three times the price of their competitors while Apple OSs remain closed source. How about one that is so miniturized that it takes up practically no space or is in a nature of a vitual machine? We can't imagine it but we could not imagine an Apple II, a laserwriter or an iPod.

Move the profit from toner and ink up to the printer itself and obsolete that hardware when it no longer works with subsequent operating systems or offers even more features when used with them? A large percentage of those who purchase new Macs are replacing the ones they had for these very reasons, relatively small numbers of PC and Android users are converting to Mac.
