Bad news for all those who do not like change. OS X 10.11.3 beta 1 has been seeded to beta testers. No word on what bug fixes or changes are included. From past update betas it will likely go into full release before the end of February 2016.
iOS 9.2.1 beta 1 has also been seeded to beta testers.
NOTE: in light of other threads it is notable that the point releases of OS X and iOS are now coming within hours of each other. This simultenaity would seem to indicate common development thread(s) — I would guess mostly common code with separate modules for UI and environment.
