no it does not fax, but we set up an older iMac across the room at one office, running an older version of mac os x that worked with the apple modem, and had it working as a standalone fax (incoming and outgoing) You just print, and it opens the print dialog with the ability to select from the contact list. So to send a fax, they drop a document into the snap, and it drops a jpeg into a folder on their desktop. they double click that and print it, to the fax. (they also have a receive folder on the iMac, which is shared, and that's how they receive faxes)
