When and if it works. Most of the time, I'll find out about the update via VersionTracker or MacUpdate but checking via the FP pref pane tells me that I have the newest version. I then go directly to Adobe to download and install it. Once in awhile, the pref pane shows the update but usually not.

Be veeery careful with those updates you get from VersionTracker! They're likely to be waaay out of date. grin

I never find out about Flash updates automatically, because I invariably see them on MacUpdate first, but rather than d/l them there I go to my pref pane, and it has invariably given me correct info and facilitated the d/l.
