FIRST thing I tend to do on a computer I'm going to be using
- show all items on desktop
- sort by name
- enable display of hidden files
- turn off extension change warning
- turn off empty trash warning

MOST folders
- list view
- sidebar on
- status bar on
- toolbar on
- sort by name
- calculate all sizes
