A few days ago my Mac started doing very strange things:

1) Would fall off the network. If I turned off Airport and turned it back on, it would either not turn on or tell me there is no Airport card installed.
2) Even if I connected an ethernet wire from the router, would still not pick up a network.
3) Screen locked up with screen saver up or in an application. Force quite window would not come up.
4) Fans were LOUD in the middle of the night when nothing was happening, didn't think of opening Activity Monitor.
5) Magic mouse cursor would move but it would not click, would not produce any action, but trackpad did.

Brought it to Apple Genius Bar last night. Did all the tests, zapped the PRAM, suspected it was a negotiation thing between the 16GB RAM I installed a month ago and the HD. The only test that came up bad at Apple was the RAM test, but they told me even tho OWC specs that this machine, the 7,1 can use 16GB, it is not recommended. Was working after the PRAM zap and I went home. Today, same problems. Get worse the longer the Mac is on. The night I noticed the fans were going, there was a lot of heat under the hinge, by the processor.

The link speed for the Serial-ATA is 3 GB and the negotiation is 3GB. Is this the problem?

ALSO, looking at Activity Monitor now, a file called clamd, which I guess is Clamx, is 277.9 MB even when sentry is off. I get this sampling:

Sampling process 153 for 3 seconds with 1 millisecond of run time between samples
Sampling completed, processing symbols...
Analysis of sampling clamd (pid 153) every 1 millisecond
