Yeah, I read the original post at the time and it did not strike me as quite the same.

My scenario does have different IP addresses. I think that is required: printer has an IP address, computer has an IP address, etc. The router is supposed to take care of all that. It was the network name on which I was commenting.


On a Mac since 1984.
