Not a suggestion, but a fact based on experimentation (which, based on my positiveness, I thought was clear).
Since deniro, running Firefox, made no mention of extensions, your experimental results with Safari extensions may not quite reach the threshold of "fact."
After all, alternaut states that
the site works fine too with Firefox 3.6.28—the same version as deniro's. Meanwhile, the site works fine for me in Safari with AdBlock enabled, including EasyList.
Of course, it's entirely possible that deniro is running a Firefox version of AdBlock of the same generation as your Safari version, and is suffering the same glitch. But I don't think we've got sufficient information to declare a definitive conclusion at this point.
