I never back anything up because I don't do anything important enough to need a backup.
You won't say that
when (not
if) your drive crashes and you lose all your emails, bookmarks, plus anything else that's "unimportant". Time Machine has been useful to me on several occasions, even without crashes. I urge you,
in the strongest possible terms, to implement a backup strategy. TM is painless and automatic.
