Easier than describing what I see:

Four .dmgs opened without path bar having been selected in advance of opening

The same four .dmgs opened with path bar having been selected in advance of opening

alternaut may not have considered the "in advance" part; I got different results when I toggled the functionality after the .dmgs were open.

Edit: To my eyes, iFileX looks better with path bar selected.
