Have you tried logging into a test account to see if the problem occurs there? That's always a good first step.

When I had problems printing from Adobe Reader, someone in this forum suggested that I try Printer Setup Repair. I used it to repair printer permissions (which are not affected by repairing permissions with Disk Utility) and the problem was solved. There is a seven day free trial so you have nothing to lose.
