I'm not entirely sure I am describing the right bridge, but Ken Kesey's property (one mile west of Apple Jack's Inn) was reached by a wooden bridge across the creek running along Highway 84 (La Honda Rd).
That sounds like it could have been considered the foot of his driveway.
