On my iMac running Mac OS X 10.7.2, if I launch Disk Utility, it allows me to mount the Recovery HD on the internal drive using the Mount button.
I just tried that, but the Mount button is greyed out (ie, non-selectable). What's the trick? Or are you booting first via command-R? If so, then we're back to square one, in that unless it's already been installed, Lion isn't there.
