Or it might include them... but then again, those would be backed up elsewhere anyway (e.g. a Time Capsule).
Maybe (if Apple sees fit to create machine specific thumb drives); only maybe.
And while either a Time Machine or other such backup is certainly a most excellent idea, it is not necessarily the way all users run, much though Apple would prefer that we all buy Time Capsules.
